But most of all, he is passionate about his work and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of all those impacted by mental illness & substance abuse.
From boardrooms in the Big Apple to casino floors in Vegas, all the way to the set of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in Calabasas, Evan has conducted hundreds of successful interventions all over the country for the past 20 years.
Evan specializes in creating comprehensive intervention solutions that effectively break through seemingly impenetrable walls of resistance, denial, manipulation, and even bureaucratic red tape by focusing on the underlying issues impairing a person's ability to function independently.
Evan began his career working as an outreach counselor in community mental health helping families in crisis successfully comply with drug, family, & criminal court‑mandated counseling & case management orders. As a result, early in his career, Evan recognized the impact of being able to bring both mental health & substance abuse services out of the classical office setting and directly into the homes of all those battling depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, schizophrenia, and substance abuse.
Evan completed his internship in mental health counseling at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital while receiving his clinical addiction training at the Hazelden School for Addiction Studies. He is a Licensed Psychotherapist, Master Certified Addiction Professional, and Certified Intervention Professional. Evan is also a proud graduate of the Emergency Medical Technician program at Miami Dade College. Evan has appeared as a special guest on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Genuinely GG from The Shahs of Sunset, Crime Time with Dr. Debbie, The Bill Cunningham Show, ABC, NBC & CBS News, and The Huffington Post while lecturing for organizations including, The United Way, The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and Nova Southeastern University. Evan has recently experienced a dramatic surge in his caseload directly related to the impact of the pandemic, prescription medications, marijuana, and social media. He now looks forward to sharing his experience, insight, and message of hope as we all learn to recover together with dignity.

My lawyer recommended us to use Evan and Jessica from Behavioral Help to assist us in finding the best aftercare plan for our daughter. They did an amazing job. Their plan was presented to the judge and it helped our case tremendously. Evan and Jessica were there anytime we had questions or concerns. I would recommend them 100%!
